We've experienced the loss of a loved one as well, and pray that your family be comforted in knowing that the peace of God can support you all during this very difficult time as promised in the healing words of Isaiah 41:10: "Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness."

My deepest sympathies to the family. He will be remembered for his goodness. I tell my students a story about his kindness every year. I was in the local store where a mentally handicapped man was trying to talk to all of the men that came in. He wanted a friend. All these guys in fancy suits just walked right past, ignoring him. Well in comes this big tough-looking dude with a long ponytail and scull cap on. I thought "oh no!" Well I was wrong! Dan stopped to talk to this man and was so very kind to him! I will never forget that lesson and I will continue to share it with my students.
