My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I hope we all remember the loving, caring and beyond funny young man Marty was. I have so many memories of my years in my class with Marty and all the other Shaler boys. Some that just showed up because Marty would invite them. I believe he is now at peace from his struggles and will be with his Dad and Mr Suit. May you all find some peace in this beyond tough time. Feel the love, support and prayers from all of us.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers

Mrs. Sieber, Ray, Peggy, John, Bob, and Emily,

As I am writing this I am truly heartbroken. It was really nice to be able to see Marty one last time over Memorial Day weekend and golf with him for the very last time on Tuesday. I have so many crazy and funny stories of Marty over the years. The campfire stories around the fires at Tionesta are something that I will treasure for the rest of my life. Marty always was the funniest kid I have ever known. Everybody had always said this about Marty, either he was pissed off at the world or he was the happiest ever. I can tell you he always made me laugh. Marty always had a big heart. When I brought my wife up to Tionesta for the very first time, Marty went out of his way to talk to her and to make her feel included in our large crazy group. I love you buddy and I will see you again. RWG Mart!!!!!!!!

I am so incredibly sorry for the loss of Marty. I remember him as a young kid, laughing and being silly when visiting his cousins across the street from us. It was always a great time playing with everyone when they visited. He was far too young to be taken from this world, and I cannot fathom the pain you are enduring. Keeping you all in my heart and thoughts as you grieve. May all of the beautiful memories of him surround you until you see him again.

The things you'll never know are the same things I'll never forget.... 5th grade recess you jumped over me and I came home from school and told my mom what happened. Of course, mom told me that maybe he has a crush on you. 7th grade I was told that I could be a nice part of your family. I rolled my eyes. Then it hit me. You became my biggest crush my heart racing, cheesy smile, idk what to say or do or act around . I would get so happy and excited when I saw you or heard your name. 9 th grade the mean girls told me you had a crush on me and you saved my life. See, around then was when my mom was battling cancer and having that hope that you cared for me was all I needed to live. As high school hit, it just continued. You were you and I always loved that about you. Everytime you would see me on my random times out, you always would say hi to me despite my weirdness around you. One of my favorite stories was when you were helping my mom with her groceries and you told her that you would take the basket off of the scooter and put it on hers so she could go shopping on her own. It was sweet. Completely wrong but sweet. Another thing was how you treated Timmy while we were growing up. You were always such a beautiful person when it came to him. Because of these moment I chose to not be an interior designer and instead help the Marty sieber'S of the world. My whole career would have been completely different if our paths never crossed and I am so grateful they did. I am happy to say that I am now a therapist helping others do better all because of you. Just wish I could have helped you. I'll always be reminded of you and my crazy high school crushing skills when I look at my door in my parents house growing up and see I 💜MS carved in it. You have influenced me more than you'll ever know. I am truly honored to have known you and I am so sorry mart! I hope and pray that you found your peace that you were looking for.

Marilyn and Family,
I am so sorry for the loss of Marty. I know firsthand what addiction can do to a child and the family that loves them . Stay strong and have the comfort knowing that he is with his dad up in heaven. I just hope one day that our children can fight the demon that lives inside them and win. I am so sorry, my heart breaks for you and your family, please take care you are in my thoughts and prayers 🙏😪
