Bruce R. Thein

Bruce Richard Thein, age 79 of Ross Township, on March 31, 2024. 

Spouse of 23 years and eternal companion of Sandra Thein. 

Father of Bray McCaslin (Brian), Brindie Minton and Brianna DeBerardinis (Chris). 

Grandfather of James Minton, Giavonna Minton, Sydney McCaslin, Keaton McCaslin, Sienna DeBerardinis and Mila DeBerardinis.  

Son of the late Oscar “Rocky” and Norma Thein. 

Brother of Curtis Thein and the late Kevin Thein and Dianne Silvasy. 

Uncle of Scott, Olga and Irina Silvasy and Kimberly Failace.

Also survived by sister-in-law Elaine Failace-Krodel. 

He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Aussie. 

Bruce was born in Stanton Heights, PA and he graduated from Peabody High School. He was a proud Army Veteran and served as a Military Policeman. He was an active member of St. Sebastian Church in Ross Township. He worked for Don Allen Chevrolet in Bloomfield for 37 years and was awarded title of “Best Salesman” for many consecutive years. Bruce was a wonderfully devoted dad, pappy and husband whose family meant the world to him. He will always be remembered for his corny jokes and his ability to keep everyone laughing. 

Visitation Thursday April 4th from 2-8 PM at Neely Funeral Home, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. 

Mass of Christian Burial Friday April 5th at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, St. Sebastian Church.
