The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
Mikes hearty laugh, silly antics, kind heart, original 'style', and deep concern/empathy for others will be greatly missed here on earth - but I truly believe he is celebrating a wonderful new life in heaven. I will treasure the memories and laughs until we meet again! To the Menner family- I will continue to pray for ALL of you daily. May God's miraclous peace somehow find you during this extremely difficult season. Hugs to all.

I am so sorry for the loss of Mike. He was such a character in high school and then when we would see him at our reunion/get togethers he would always make us laugh. He will be so missed and we will always cherish our times with him. I hope your memories, your faith, your friends and your family help you all through this most difficult time. He will always be in the hearts of Penn Hills Class of 1985 that is for sure.

Pam Joe and Mary Beth.
I heard about Mike's death on the news. I feel a sadness of seeing a life cut short. I will keep you in my prayers. You guys don't know who I am,but I am a 4th cousin to Joseph Leo Menner lll. Maria Anna Lavo who is related to all of us married Joseph Charles Menner in about 1861 in Pittsburgh. Maria's mother is Appolina Adelmann who married Jacob Lavo. Appolina is your 3rd great grandmother and at the same time my 2nd great grand aunt. So you guys are 4th cousins once removed to me. I had just recently paid a visit to St John Vianney Cemetery in Carrick to visit your grandparents Joseph Leo Menner and Agnes Breen. I want to have someway of remembering them. So I will now include Michael when I pray on Sunday. Also if anyone wants to know more about how we are connected let me know at the email above. I will be happy to share the information I have.

I was introduced to Mike when he moved to Cleveland after graduating from Dayton. My childhood friend and Mike’s Dayton classmate, Ken Slaght, introduced us.

I have many fond memories of times spent together in Cleveland in the early 90’s and every few years as a participant at the Dayton golf reunions in a Florida. Mike was always such a fun-loving guy with a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh.

It’s been many years since I last saw him but I will always remember him fondly. I’m so very saddened by his sudden passing. My condolences to his family and loved ones.

My condolences to the immediate family, especially Michael's children. Though I haven't seen him since he was very young, a loss in our family is felt deeply. As cousins, our families got together often in Pittsburgh. May thoughts of those happier times and those within his immediate family more recently, carry us through this very sad time.
