Ralph George Obituary

Ralph D. George of Cranberry Township and Glenshaw, PA passed away on August 30, 2019. Ralph was born in Lawrenceville, PA to the late Thomas and Mary George. His brothers were Thomas (deceased), Donald (deceased) and Paul. Following his graduation from Peabody High School, Ralph joined the Army. He served in the Signal Corps for 2 years during the Korean War. Upon his return, Ralph joined the Bell Telephone Company and remained with them for 40 years. In 1954, Ralph married Gloria Bechtold of Millvale. Together they had 7 children: David, Donna, Sandra, Susan, Ronald, Kenneth and Karen. In addition to his wife and children, Ralph is survived by 9 grandchildren: Lori, Bethany, Jesse, Lauren, Kevin, Kailee, Jason, Justin, Jolie and 3 great-grandchildren: Caden, Adelyn, Shea. Over the years, Ralph was an active member of the First Primitive Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, and for 50 years, the Elfinwild Presbyterian Church of Glenshaw. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, acted in community theater with the Glenshaw and Comptra Players and sang in the North Hills and Bradenton FL barbershop quartets. 

Visitation Wed. 10 A.M. until 12 NOON at Elfinwild Presbyterian Church, 3200 Mt Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA 15116 with the funeral service to follow in church at 12:30 P.M. 

In lieu of flowers memorials suggested to Elfinwild Presbyterian Church Outreach Programs.
