William "Bill" F. Fried, Jr.

William (Bill) F., Jr., died peacefully in Allion Park, PA at the age of 88.

Father of Barbara Young (Robert) and Susan Schnelzer (Michael)

Grandfather of Michael Patrick Schnelzer Jr., Kathryn Westreicher (Erick), Miles Young, and Lauren Young.

Bill was born on February 14, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from Shadyside Academy and Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Agricultural Biochemistry. He married Joanne Wilson, a fellow Penn Stater in 1954. He began his career in the family meat packing business, Fried and Reineman, and then along with his father and uncle, started Fried Provision Company of Evans City. Later he became a certified finanical planner (CFP) and worked in the Pittsburgh area until his retirement.  After college, Bill served his country overseas in the Korean War as an Army Second Lieutenant. He also was a member of Kiwanis and was a 50-year member of the North Hills Masonic Lodge number 716. Devoted to his family and God, he was a Sunday School teacher and most recently was part of the St.Paul's United Methodist Church congregation in Allison Park.

Visitation Friday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1965 Ferguson Rd, Allison Park, PA 15101 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
