Anthony Cerminara, Sr. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony Cerminara, Sr. He was born on September 21, 1935 in Savelli, Italy, and passed away suddenly on Thursday afternoon. Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Maria (Richetti) Cerminara and his four sons: Joseph (Shelly), Frank (Reneé), Anthony, Jr. (Cindy), and John. He has 13 grandchildren: Alyssa, Dana (Mike), Amanda (Nick), and Christopher; Anthony and Christopher; Annamaria, Anthony, Andrew, and Alex; Roman, Olivia, and Luca; and expecting a great granddaughter in early July. He is the son of the late Joseph and Maria Cerminara of Follansbee, WV, and is survived by six siblings: Pete (Mary Ann), Phyllis (Fioré), Clara, Emilio, Frank (Susan), and Angelo (Jody). He also leaves behind many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Anthony came to America at the age of 20 and was a talented woodcraftsman for over 50 years. He ran his own successful woodshop with his business partner, the late Cesare Borelli, for over 30 years. His wit and compassion will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and community. Due to Covid-19, there will be no visitation hours except for immediate family only. Mass of Christian Burial will be livestreamed Tues.
