Bonnie Giel Obituary

Bonnie Sue Giel (Kobus), age 57, of Glenshaw, on Aug. 22, 2020 after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Faithful wife and best friend of Gary S. Giel.
Devoted mother to Allie E. Giel and Joseph John Giel.
Loving daughter of Joseph J. and the late Winifred S. Kobus of Shaler.
Daughter-in-law of James A. and Suan H. Giel of Shaler.
Survived by her sisters Kathy Poole (Jim) and their children James and Kelsey, Jodi Singer (Arlen) and their daughter Mary and Mary Smith (Douglas) and their children Laura and Megan.
Also survived by numerous cousins and relatives.
Bonnie was a lifelong member of Glenshaw Presbyterian Church where she served in many positions and on many committees within the church.
Born on St. Patrick’s Day 1963, she always had a happy go lucky attitude and spirit. She loved to spend time with her family especially around the holidays.
Her favorite of all holidays though was Halloween when she would spend months decorating her basement for the neighborhood children. She will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her and will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Thanks to the many devoted Doctors, Nurses and staff at UPMC-Passavant for their devoted and loving care. Thank you to Family Hospice for their support and compassion for her end of life care.
No visitation, Service and Interment private.  Memorials suggested to the Glenshaw Presbyterian Church Maintenance Fund.
