Calvin “Cal” C. Goss, age 95, of Shaler Township, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, June 16, 2022. Beloved husband for 64 years of the late Jeanne Liederman Goss. Devoted Father of Craig C. Goss (Jan) of Houston, Texas and Glenn A. Goss (Donna) of Gibsonia, PA. Grandfather (Pappy) of Glenn A. Goss Jr. (Abbie), Gina Hayes (Mark), Victoria Davidson (Lincoln) and Katherine Goss. Great Grandfather of Madeline Hayes, Chase Hayes, Turner Hayes and Charlotte Goss. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward G. and Phyllis Goss and siblings, Clarence Goss and Elizabeth Eckert. Cal was one of the hardest working guys you would ever meet. He was a real “Mr. Fix-It” and “Do It Your-selfer” and always enjoyed helping his sons with their house projects. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening, and was an avid dog lover and bird watcher. He and Jeannie also enjoyed square and round dancing. Cal had a great sense of humor which he passed on to his children, He will be sadly missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his brother, Warren Goss and sisters, Annabelle Thomas, Emmagene Wasson and Irene Loskamp. A faithful man of God, he was a lifelong member of Elfinwild Presbyterian Church in Glenshaw, PA and a retired carpenter of Local Union # 211. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II, serving in Germany and France. He was a long time member of North Hills Lodge #716 F & A. M., Scottish Rite, Islam Grotto and Syria Shriners and served on the stage crew at the Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center.Cal loved spending time with his family and was grateful to see his grandchildren grow into fine young adults. He was blessed to enjoy 4 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Neely Funeral Home, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw PA on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Monday, June 27, 2022 at Elfinwild Presbyterian Church, 3200 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw, at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in Mt. Royal Cemetery.
