Charlotte Gochis Obituary

GOCHIS, Charlotte Ann (Holmes), 85, of Pittsburgh, PA, died on April 11, 2020, after a long illness. She was born on December 27, 1934, to the late William N. and Frances Holmes of Mayfield, KY.

Charlotte met the love of her life, Theodore W. Gochis, in 1955. They were married on September 24, 1956 in New Jersey. Together they raised three children: David, Curtis, and Sandra.

Charlotte worked as a caregiver for the mentally challenged for many years. She cherished being a housewife and mother, enjoyed shopping and the challenge of completing crossword puzzles.

Charlotte is survived by sons David and Curtis (Sally); daughter Sandra; grandsons Jonathan (fiancée Lauren Capp) and Dalton (fiancée Josie Carroll) Wight; granddaughter Brianna (Dale) Rothey; great-grandchildren Dale, Jr., Emmalyn, and Landon; brother James Holmes; and her feline companion, Misty.

She was preceded in death by husband Theodore; brothers David, Patrick, Lonnie, and Ronnie; and sister Frances Marceline "Marcy".

There will be no visitation at the request of the deceased. The family has entrusted Neely Funeral Home, Glenshaw, PA, with the arrangements. A memorial service will be announced and held at a later date.
