Cynthia Ann McConnell

It is with great sadness that the family of Cynthia Ann McConnell announce her passing on Sept. 5, 2020, after a courageous 11 year battle with cancer.  

She is the daughter of Alice McConnell (Chavarrie) and the late Thomas Milton McConnell.  

Cindy is survived by her brother, Thomas Michael (Deni), nephew Trace and niece Riley.  

Cindy graduated from Shaler High School in 1983.  Cindy had a successful career at AT&T.  

She was a Cheerleader Coach at St. Mary’s in Glenshaw. She was an actively involved member of the Pittsburgh Volunteers since 1995 and especially enjoyed volunteering at the All-Star Games.  

Cindy had a happy energetic spirit, she loved spending time with her family and friends especially around the holidays.  

The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at UPMC Cancer Center, Good Samaritan Hospice and Dr. Sarah Shinn for their loving devoted care. Cindy will be dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched.  

Visitation Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Neely Funeral Home, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw.  

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 1 PM at Saint Aidan Parish- St. Alexis Church, Wexford. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.
