Harry Boretsky, M.D.

Harry Boretsky MD of Ross, age 94, passed away peacefully in his home on October 31, 2020. He was a loving husband to Marie Maren, his wife of 72 years.  Father of Robert Boretsky (Karen) and Michael Boretsky (Michele), proud grandfather of Melanie Young (Alan), Katie Boretsky, Christina Boretsky, Sara Boretsky, and great-grandfather of Evelyn and Henry Young. Harry had 9 nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Boretsky and Mary Petrosky and his 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Dr. Boretsky was born December 14, 1925, in Coaldale, PA. He served in the US Army during WWII after which he attended Muhlenberg College and Jefferson Medical College where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He was the chief of Anesthesiology at Suburban General Hospital from 1960-1980 and served as president of their Medical Staff. Dr. Boretsky was the President of the Pennsylvania Society of Anesthesiologists from 1971-72. In his free time, he loved relaxing at home with his wife, listening to classical music, and following Pittsburgh sports, particularly the Pirates.

No visitation, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
