Jacqueline “Jackie” Van Tassel Simpson

Jacqueline “Jackie” Van Tassel Simpson, age 68, of Ross Township, formerly of Butler, passed away on June 16, 2026 surrounded by her family. 

Loving wife of Douglas Simpson. Beloved mother of Colby Simpson (Caterina). Daughter of the late Sherburne and Sarah Van Tassel; daughter-in-law of Carol Simpson and the late Norman Simpson. Sister of Kelly Van Tassel, Patricia Osinski (Mark), and Sherburne “Randy” Van Tassel; sister-in-law of Judy Simpson, Keith Simpson, and Sue Tylka (Ted). Special cousin to Kenley and Trenton Seelman. Additionally survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Jackie loved traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She worked as a Guidance Counselor at Montour High School and proudly served as Treasurer of the Allegheny County School Counselors Association of PA during her career. She will be deeply missed. 

Visitation will be held Thursday June 18th from 2-8 PM at Neely Funeral Home, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday the 19th at 10 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, St. Ursula Church, 3945 Kirk Ave., Allison Park, PA 15101. Everyone Please Meet At Church.
