Janet A. Greer

Janet A. Greer, age 74, born and raised in Kearny, NJ, died suddenly on June 20, 2021. Survived be her brother, Alex Greer, Jr., nieces, numerous cousins in New Jersey, and lifelong friends. Janet worked as a nurse for 10 years, followed by a career in Computer Programming at Verizon before retirement. A long time animal lover of all kinds, Janet especially was filled with joy seeing her beloved “Bonnie”, a rescue dog she had for 17 years. Most of her summers were spent tending her vegetable and flower garden plot off Courthouse Road in Vienna, VA. An avid cross word puzzler, soccer fan and bread maker with a speciality in Scottish Shortbread cookies. No Visitation. Service and Interment private. Donations may be made to an Animal Rescue of your choice in Janet’s name.
