John Joseph Yakich Sr., age 92 of Etna on October 30, 2023. 

Husband of Anna Marie (Zunic) Yakich. 

Father of John J. Jr. (Amy), Mark S. (Susan), and Michael R. (Peggy) Yakich. 

Grandfather of Lauren Kozlowski (Tom), Kristin Yakich and Michael Yakich. 

Great grandfather of Colton and Easton Kozlowski. 

Son of the late John F. and Doris Yakich. 

Brother of Doris “Dolly” Reuss and Stefanie Barnes. 

John was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, he worked for Heppenstahl Steel Co. for 29 years and also held various maintenance jobs. He was a member of Corinthian Lodge 573, VFW Post 9199 and a life member of Allegheny Country Rifle Club. John enjoyed spending time hunting, going to camp with his family and friends and being “Johnny Yak” and “Pap” as most knew him. 

Visitation Thursday 3-8 PM at Neely Funeral Home, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. 

Funeral Mass Friday at 10 AM at St. Matthew Parish, All Saints Church, Etna. Everyone Please Meet At Church.
