Joseph Delavera Hughes

Joseph Hughes Obituary Age 93, of Glenshaw died on Thursday April 12. Born on September 23, 1924 to the late Pat and Ellen (Sharky) Hughes.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years Madeline L (Dugan) Hughes.

Father of Marian (Jonathan) Nadybal, Kathy (William) Holland), Joann (Frank E) Van Atta, Paul J (Ruth) Hughes, Patrick J (Lisa) Hughes, and Terri Castle.

Gandfather of Julie (deceased), Alison (Matt) Lester and Justin Nadybal, Benjamin (Tricia) and Luke Holland, Frank Joseph, Stephen and Emily Van Atta, Kevin and Breanne Hughes, Kierstyn, Kendra and Jakob Hughes, Audrey, Abigail, Cole and Colin Castle; Great -grandfather of Trevor and Avery Lester and Jackson Holland.

Joe was predeceased by his siblings Father James, Patrick, Felix, John and Alice Hughes.

Joe was a proud veteran of World War II and a recipient of the Purple Heart.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday April 15 at Neely Funeral Home 2208 Mt Royal Blvd. Glenshaw, PA 15116.

Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday April 16 at St Bonaventure Church Mt Royal Blvd Glenshaw, PA. 15116. Burial will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to People Concerned for the Unborn Child 3050 Pioneer Avenue Pgh, PA 15228.
