Marie Boretsky

Marie Boretsky of Ross, age 97, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Boretsky, and parents, Michael and Marie Maren. Mother of Robert Boretsky (Karen) and Michael Boretsky (Michele), proud grandmother of Melanie Young (Alan), Katie Boretsky, Christina Boretsky, Sara Boretsky, and great-grandmother of Evelyn and Henry Young.  

Marie was born December 5, 1925, in Coaldale, PA. She attended Westchester State College, majoring in music and teaching. After college, she and her husband moved to Pittsburgh where they spent the rest of their lives. She worked for several years as a music teacher before deciding to raise her two sons full time. 

She loved gardening, reading, and playing the violin, but her greatest joy came from the company of her family. 

No visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
