Maxine was a homemaker and was a parishioner of St Charles Catholic Church in Lima. She volunteered at St. Ritas Medical Center as well as St. Agnes Hospital when she lived in Maryland. Maxine and Bernie opened their home to out-of-town friends, as well as holding many family reunions, where Maxine made everyone feel welcome. Following Bernie’s retirement, they enjoyed extensive traveling throughout the world. Eventually after Bernie’s death, Maxine moved back to Lima to be near her daughter, Diane
