Michele Della Valle, age 60, of Valencia formerly of Shaler, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, August 12, 2023, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
She will always be remembered for being compassionate, always willing to lend a helping hand, and a shining light in every room. She volunteered her time at many organizations and loved to teach the children at St. Bonaventure School computers and library. She enjoyed attending Pittsburgh Pirate baseball games and watching Pitt and Penn State football. Her passions were traveling with family, cooking for her family, and going out to dinner with her family.
Michele is survived by her husband of 36 years, John Della Valle; daughter, Tori Mitchell (Kevin); son, Anthony Della Valle. She is also survived by her mother, Mary Ellen Furar and late father, Robert Furar; brother, Robert Furar Jr. (Kim); sisters, Colleen Scherer (Gordon) and Jennifer DiGirolamo; brother-in-law, Philip Della Valle (Cynthia); and many nieces and nephews.
She has been a long-time member of St. Bonaventure Parish and St. Killian Parish.
No visitation, a Funeral Mass will be Monday, August 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Parish, St. Bonaventure Church. Everyone Please Meet At Church.
