Nancy Burke

July 9th, 1927 – June 12th, 2026

It is with deep sadness and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Nancy Burke, who passed away peacefully on June 12th, 2026 at the age of 98, just weeks shy of her 99th birthday.

Born in Horwich, Bolton of England, Nancy came to the states in 1959 and later found residency in Ormond Beach, Florida.  She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed cups of tea, playing tennis, mahjong and volunteering at the library reading for the blind.

She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Joseph Burke. Preceded in death by her parents Edward and Nellie Rangeley; brother Dennis. She leaves behind her loving son Steven (Diane) Burke, as well as two grandchildren Lauren (Clayton) Kennedy, Christina (Chayne) Frey and three great-grandchildren Colton, Cody and Cooper Frey.

Arrangements entrusted to Neely Funeral Home.  There will be no public viewing, and a celebration of life will be set at a later time.  

In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to Volusia County Public Library Support Center, 1290 Indian Lake Road, Daytona Beach, FL 32124.
