Richard J. "Dick" Schaefer

Richard J. “Dick” Schaefer Sr., age 94 of Ross Township, on July 12, 2026. 

Husband of the late Lydia Schaefer. 

Father of Richard J. Schaefer Jr. (Rose) and Sandra Smith (Blaise). 

Grandfather of Blaise Jr. and Maximus Smith, Bailey McGorry (Casey), and McKenzie, Reagan and Morgan Schaefer. 

Great grandfather of Jack McGorry. 

Son of the late Herbert and Janet Schaefer. 

Brother of the late Herbert, Robert and William Schaefer. 

Dick was a graduate of Westminster College and was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity. Upon graduating he served in the U.S. Army. After his time of service he worked in Insurance sales for Equitable Life. He was also a member of Corinthian Lodge 573 F.&A.M. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday July 16th from 10AM until the time of service at 2PM at Neely Funeral Home, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw.
