Robert Hazlett Whitaker, age 62, of Glenshaw, PA, died Friday, January 29, 2021 following an illness.
Bob was born February 9, 1958, in Wheeling, WV, to Louis Stifel Whitaker and Jane Stuart Hazlett Whitaker.
He was graduated from Linsly Military Institute in 1976 and West Virginia University in 1981.
He worked as an electrical engineer for several corporations as well as running his own corporation, Sensor-Switch.
He was a member of Elfinwild Presbyterian Church.
Bob also enjoyed traveling and generously participated in numerous charitable activities such as food banks and mission trips to build houses.
He is survived by his children, Mitchell Eliot Whitaker of Glenshaw, PA, and Katharine Stuart Hazlett Whitaker of Pittsburgh, PA, and their mother, Suzanne Cook Whitaker of Pittsburgh, PA, as well as his brothers William Stifel Whitaker of Concord, OH, and Daniel Edgington Whitaker of Wheeling, WV, and numerous nephews, nieces, and great-nephews.
The family would like to thank UPMC-Shadyside for their care.
