Samuel H. Liptak of Glenshaw, born on June 3, 1944, beloved son and preceded in death by Samuel and Helen Liptak and one sister, Beverly Clyde.
Married 57 years to Joanna, his wife. Who will miss him always.
He was “Uncle Sam” to many caring nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and godchildren and friends. They were all so special to him.
Sam was member of the first graduating class of Fox Chapel High School and continued to enjoy the lasting friendships of fellow classmates. He attended Point Park College and Youngstown University.
An avid Steeler fan since the 70’s till present day and all the friends who shared the fun. Also, loved and followed Iowa Hawkeyes.
He loved his cabin in Emlenton and the outdoor adventures with the good friends he acquired there. It’s where a lost dog “found him” and became the best pet ever, his beloved Tinker.
He managed RPC Electronics, Video Division for 18 years and became owner in 1987 of RPC Video Inc. till his retirement in 2005.
Sam was most proud of being a pioneer in 1967 of visual communications and the fact that so many of his employees went on to have successful careers in the video communications field. He was proud that so many of them maintained contact with him throughout their careers.
Visitation will be held Thursday 3-7pm at Neely Funeral Home at 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA 15116. In Lieu of flowers memorials suggested to a charity of one’s choice.
