Thomas G. Richardson

Tom Richardson, 71, of Hampton Township, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2021. Tom is the son of the late Moria and Tom Richardson of Lower Burrell.

Tom was a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart Shari for 47 years.

He was a loving father to his son, Tom and daughter, Laura. He enjoyed coaching his children’s basketball and soccer teams, as well as participating in Indian Guides and Tae Kwon Do with his son.

Tom was an avid sports fan, having played baseball and basketball at Burrell High School.  He then went on to play basketball at Westminster College.  He was also an avid golfer, and was fortunate enough to play many notable courses, including Augusta, Firestone, Pebble Beach, Pinehurst, and Spyglass Hill.
Tom was active in the JDRF Western Pennsylvania Chapter for many years, including serving as its President for several years.
He is survived by his wife, Shari. He is the adored father of Tom and Laura (Chris) Bright as well as a foster grandfather. Tom is the beloved brother of Jeffrey (Kathy) and Jack (Marcia). Tom is also a dear uncle to many nieces and nephews and their children.
