Verna was born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 21, 1930. She passed away peacefully on March 25, 2022 at the age of 92.
Verna is preceded in death by her parents William Rigby, Frances Pfendler and Stepfather Frank Pfendler.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, Michael Patsko and siblings Leota and Harry Rigby.
Verna is survived by her children Linda Freedman (Ralph), Barbara Bulger (John), Beverly Seruset (Dan) and Joe Patsko (Patty).
Loving grandmother to Scott Trautmann, Briana Bulger (Nick), Tanner Patsko (Leah), Michaela and Alec Patsko.
Aunt to multiple nieces and nephews and dear friend to Clara Colpo.
Verna graduated from Etna High School. Verna started her career as an Export Secretary at H.J. Heinz Company at the age of 17. She married Mike on June 23, 1951. She left H.J. Heinz in 1953 to start her family and returned in 1965. Verna retired from H.J. Heinz Co. in 1992. Verna's retirement only lasted one year. In 1993 Verna started working at Eden Hill Farm (H.J.Heinz Women’s retreat) until 2008.
She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, watching and feeding her wildlife friends, and caring for her plants and flowers.
Friends and Family will be received on Sunday March 27, 2022 from 2-6 PM at Neely Funeral Home, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. Funeral Service Monday 11 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial to be held privately.
