William Francis Koslick was born December 1st, 1933, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania; Son of Christine and George Koslick. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. He is survived by his wife Colleen O’Brien and their daughter Beth and her husband Greg Gardner. Also surviving are granddaughters Gretchen and Chelsea Bodamer; sister-in-law Joan Morris and nieces and nephew Karen Owens, Keith Morris, and Colleen Plucinski (husband John); great-nieces and nephew Diana Tyree, Silas Owen, Maurene Siberz and their families. He was preceded in death by both his parents and his Uncle Steve Uram.
William (Bill) was a graduate of Uniontown High School. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from California State Teacher’s College, his Master’s degree in Education from the University of Pittsburgh, and his Doctor of Education degree from Penn State University After a devoted career in higher education, he retired in 1995.
William taught woodworking at Hampton High School, where he also coached wrestling and football. At the Community College of Allegheny County Boyce Campus in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, he was the Assistant Dean of Instruction and later Dean of Engineering, Math, and Computer Science. He served as the Athletic Director at the college from 1969 – 1978.
William will be remembered fondly by his family for his love of travel, Civil War History, woodworking and the time he spent living with his wife Colleen in Williamsburg, Virginia
He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania.
Visitation will be Monday November 29, 2021 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Neely Funeral Home, 2208 Mt. Royal Boulevard, Glenshaw
Service will be held Tuesday, November the 30th at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Gibsonia, with Pastor Anthony Schneck officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Royal Cemetery (family members only). EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH
