William F. Miller

William F. Miller, age 81, of Gibsonia, PA (formerly of Shaler Township), died May 23, 2023 at the UPMC Family Hospice at Canterbury Place in Lawrenceville after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. 

Bill was born November 12, 1941 in Pittsburgh, PA, son of the late William and Mary Jean (Mangis) Miller, and step son of the late Cyril Mangis.  He was a graduate of Central Catholic and the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. He retired from the profession having worked most recently at UPMC St. Margaret's Hospital. 

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Kathy (Brais) and their son Bill Miller and wife Melissa Miller of Gibsonia, PA and three grandchildren Jacob, Alexander, and Sara. 

Preceding Bill in passing were his sisters Dorothy DelPrato, Joanne Dick, Jeannie Kenna, Ruth Kielzewski, and Barbara Matyka; and his brother in laws Bernard DelPrato, Andrew Musiak, and Bill Utzman and step sister and brother-in-law Michelle and Chuck Hunt. 

Surviving brother and sister in laws include Liz and Tony Brais, Jim Dick, Mary Jane and Curt Grimm, John Kielzewski, Patty Musiak, and Polly Utzman.  

In addition to his love of family, Bill loved animals (especially his dogs), was an avid golfer, and in his younger days, performed as a drummer with the Eddie Roth Quartet. 

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday May 24 from 6 to 8 PM and Thursday, May 25th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Neely Funeral Home, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd, Glenshaw, PA 15116. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, May 26th at St. Matthew Parish, St. Bonaventure Church, Glenshaw.
