Age 84, of Shaler Twp.passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 21, 2018 at the VA Hospital in Oakland.
At his time of death he was given an honorary military salute by the VA staff.
Born on March 27, 1933 to the late Frank and Katherine Ujazdowski.
As a combat veteran of the Korean War, Chester proudly served in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne Division as a Corporal. He also served with the 2nd Infantry Division while stationed in Japan. After his military service, he worked as a truck driver for Thoroughfare Supermarkets. Later in his life, Chester worked as a driver for many movies produced and filmed in Pittsburgh, and he was also the owner of a local bar and restaurant.

Father of Carol Kaminski (the late Robert), Patricia Popovich (Steven), Thomas Ujazdowski (Barbara), David Ujazdowski (Kelly), Michael Ujazdowski (Amy Jo), and Suzan Tvaruzek (Eric).
Grandfather of Robert Kaminski Jr., (Maggie), Brian Kaminski (Samantha), Natalia Petrulli (Leo), Halie Banas (Josh), Thomas Jr. and Zachary Ujazdowski, Megan (Nick), Autumn and David Ujazdowski, Jr., Amy Salera (Neko), Michael Jr., Jacob and Isabella Ujazdowski, Tess Rodgers (Bill), Kayla and Todd Tvaruzek
Also 10 great grandchildren.
Chester was known for his love of travel, especially to Atlantic City, his great sense of humor, and most importantly, his love for having his family together.
Visitation Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Neely Funeral home, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw.
