David Francis Abt, Sr.

ABT, David Francis, Sr., age 72, of Shaler Twp., on September 21, 2019. David was a proud Army Veteran of the Vietnam war and a victim of Agent Orange. Loving husband of Beverly L. Birch Abt. Devoted father of Amy Lynne Abt, Carrie Louise Abt and David Francis Abt, Jr. (Cheryle). Son of the late Herman and Florence Abt. Brother of Anna Marie Winhold (late Donald), Nancy Abt, Charles Abt (Joyce) and Patrick Bach. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, many friends and family in the South Florida area and special friends Kyle and Jessica Perchalski and daughters Brinleigh and Harper; Erik and Angel Sanchez and daughters Abigail and Olivia. Dave was a great man of faith a loving husband and father and dedicated to Christian Service for his family and all others. He was a Steel worker prior to moving to Florida. He was a loyal employee of the Broward County School Board in South Florida for 34 years. “It is not always about your journey but it is all about your destination.” No Visitation. Service and Interment 10:30 AM, Tues., Oct. 1, at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Everyone please meet at the cemetery no later than 10 :00 AM.
