He was born Nov. 28, 1936 in Maierato, Italy and immigrated to the U.S. in 1960.
He returned to Italy to marry Concetta Cugliari on March 26, 1966.
Son of the late Vincenzo and Maria Rosaria (Costa) Pietropaolo.
Beloved husband of Concetta Cugliari Pietropaolo. for nearly 52 years.
Father of Maria (Rick) Schaub of McCandless, Vincenzo (Elizabeth) Pietropaolo of Charlotte, NC, and Antonietta (Joe) Farrah of Franklin Park
Proud Nonno of Giulia, Michael, Joseph, and Daniel Schaub, Alex Pietropaolo and Anthony and Elena Farrah.
Brother of Suor Mistica Pietropaolo of Milan, Italy, Beloved brother and best friend of Gesuele (Esterina) Pietropaolo of Bethel Park and brother of Antonia (Gregorio)Silvaggio of Maierato, Italy.
Son-in-law of the late Giacomo and Antonia Cugliari.
Brother-in-law of Antonino (Anna) Cugliari of Italy and the late Marta Cugliari, Paolo (Vittoria) Cugliari of Italy and Rosina (Antonio) Nardi.
Also many Nieces, Nephews, cousins and friends.
Gregorio owned and operated his own landscaping business for 40+ years. He loved gardening and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Though he spoke often and fondly of his native land, he was so proud to have become an American citizen and to call Pittsburgh his home.
Visitation Mon. and Tues. 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Neely Funeral Home, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw.
Mass of Christian Burial Wed. 10:00 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Church.
Interment at Mt. Royal Cemetery.
