WOODS, Marjorie (Sonnichsen), age 102, beloved wife of the late Edward Woods, passed away peacefully at Vincentian Home in McCandless Twp. on April 24th. Formerly of Glenshaw, she and Ed moved to Ft. Meyers, FL over 40 years ago. Shortly after her 100th birthday, Marje returned to Pittsburgh to be close to family. Born to Emma and Thomas Sonnichsen in New York City, April 2, 1918, she is survived by her sons Edward (Teena), Harvey (Betty), Tom (Judy); grandchildren Linda (Mike) Kelley, James, Gretchen (Matt) Sief, Pamela (Cody) Snyder, Jennifer (Brian) Huskey, Lori (Ryan) McKinley; and 6 great grandchildren; preceded by siblings Grace, Tom, and Ruth. Marjorie graduated at 16 from New York City Schools, attended Rider College, worked on Wall Street, and bicycled Europe in 1937, before marrying in 1938. Active her entire life, she enjoyed walking, biking, golf, swimming, traveling and, especially, dancing. She was an avid reader, always having a good book close by. When God took her back, He said "Hallelujah! You’re home!"
