Raymond J. Conway

Raymond J. Conway of Hampton Township passed on July 24, 2022 at age 81.  Loving husband of 59 years to Darlene Kramer Conway and father of Timothy (Karen), Charles (Dodi) and Raymond (Beth).  Grandfather of Lori, Ryan, Jordan, Samantha, Nick, Jessica and Daniel.  Son of the late Charles “Pap” and Nora Conway “Meem”.  Brother to Judy Lafferty (Bucky) and Kathy Lee.
Ray grew up in Morningside where he played football for the original Bulldogs.  He went to high school at Shady Side Academy as a three sport athlete, then on to the University of Pittsburgh to play football.
He became a manufacturer’s rep selling furniture for the next twenty years, all while raising his family.  Very generous with his time, he coached baseball and basketball and was loved by all the kids.  He was very active socially, and a staple in Pittsburgh with many friends from all walks of life.  Ray and Darlene also ran Conway’s Restaurant in Aspinwall for 10 years.  Ray was a kind and generous person and was always there to help.

Visitation on Friday from 4-7pm at Neely Funeral Home, 2208 Mt. Royal Boulevard, Glenshaw.  

Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, 10am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, St. Ursula Church at 3937 Kirk Avenue, Allison Park.
