Don L. Weichel

Age 87 of Etna, died Feb. 7, 2017.

He is survived by Lois Jean (Hull) Weichel, his beloved wife of 60 years.

He was the brother of the late Hazel Stouffer, Mae Weichel and Burnaden Bauman and Uncle of the late Edward Bauman, who was like a brother to him.He is also survived by his niece, Lee Bauman.

Don was born on November 19, 1929 in Etna, PA the son of the late Charles Nelson Weichel and Johanna Wohlfeil Weichel.

Don served during the Korean War as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked many years in various machine shops, later becoming a draftsman for Swindell-Dressler Co. and Kaiser Engineers. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, especially enjoying hunting rabbits with his beagles.
