Marlene Genter Obituary
Age 85, of Shaler Twp., passed away peacefully Friday morning Nov. 24, 2017 with her children by her side.
Wife of the late James G. Genter Sr for over 50 years.
Mother of James G. Genter Jr. (Denise) and Kathy Machiko (Gary).
Sister of the late Shirley Mutschler.
Grandmother of Grant, Matthew, and Morgan.
Marlene graduated from Millvale High School in 1950 and continued on to St. Francis Nursing School where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. She loved working as a nurse night turn at the VA Hospital while raising her two children. In retirement she was fortunate to have spent many of her years in South Florida with her late husband, Jim. She was an active member and volunteered regularly at the Pittsburgh North Senior Center. She was a marvelous wife, mother, and grandmother and her family was truly blessed by her love and selflessness. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Service and interment are private.
