Mary Guering

Age 95, of Shaler Township, passed away on August 4, 2017.

She was born January 16, 1922 in Russelton, to the late John and Antonina Antonace.

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Joseph W. Guering.

Loving mother of Noreen ( Robert) Weiss, Sharon (John) Chepelsky, Sally (Jeff Richael), Phyllis (Bill Boichel), and Mary E. (Bruce) Pyle.

Devoted grandmother of Lori (Adam) Resnick, Erin (Joe) Lantz, Jeffrey, Maria, Cassandra, Larissa, and Natalie.

Great grandmother to Evan and Justin.

Supportive sister to the late Rose Sweeney, Barbara Matecka, Nick, Pete, Jimmy, John, Paul, Stanley, and surviving brother Tony Antonace.

Mary was the resilient matriarch of the Guering family, caring for her five girls after the untimely death of her husband. Compassionate, loving, and kind, Mary accepted lifes challenges with courage and grace. She enjoyed working in her garden, baking, and reading in the loving company of her family.

Memorials may be made in her honor to the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf.

Visitation Monday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Neely Funeral Home 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw.

Mass of Christian burial Tuesday 10 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Middle Road.
